About Freely Magazine

Freely Magazine is a Philly-based multicultural media channel for international students and anyone who shows appreciation for diversity and cultural uniqueness. Our mission is to blur the restrictive boundaries among and between different ethnic groups by providing students with opportunities to raise their voices, share their cultures, and receive specific content that will improve their college experience in Philadelphia.

In our team, we’ve got people from over 15 different countries speaking more than 20 languages. In 2017, we were awarded the Best New Student Organization award from Temple University for our efforts to engage the domestic and international student communities on campus.

We’re a frequent presence at internationally-charged events and activities held throughout the school year, and host many events and social activities ourselves aimed at promoting cross-cultural awareness and bridging the gaps between international and domestic students.

We’re always looking for new voices! If you’re a writer who’s interested in all things global, please drop us a line. We are currently recruiting international and domestic writers for this semester and next semester.

We work with students of ALL English writing abilities to produce high-quality written work that speaks to the global experience at Temple and beyond. No prior experience is necessary – only a desire to think globally!

Email haajrah.gilani@temple.edu if you are interested in receiving more information about how to join our team. Hope to hear from you!
